New Optimus Aux Shots

New Optimus Aux Shots
This site provides free Flash conversion online. It can convert any YouTube movie or any other Flash file online to AVI, MOV, MP4 or MP3. Supposedly, using a special open-source Flash technology, it can convert Flash to MPEG4 faster and losslessy than a typical transcoder. You simply submit the URL of the Flash file and it goes to work.

First up, the service uses a subscription model. Just pay a low monthly fee (Engadget reports it's $2 to $4 per channel) and you can download and watch any shows from any available channel. A handful of channels will also make content available on a pay per download basis.

Sounds like a great service, but if at all possible, please don't support sites like this until the WGA strike is over. No money paid (and dollars earned in advertising, if there is any) right now for this service will go to the people who wrote the shows - it will go to the studios and networks. Once the strike is over and the writers have negotiated "new media" into their contracts, have at it, but please support the writers until that happens.

Amazing 150″ Panasonic Life Wall TV

Life Wall by Panasonic. An extremely thin 150″ TV that does amazing things. It has face recognition so that it recognizes the face(s) that watch it and adjusts the display or program to that person’s preferences automatically.
How about having a TV that will move with you as you walk around the living room to keep the display right in front of you? The display would be large or small depending on how far away from the screen you were. It could display a screen saver instead of a black screen when turned off.

Powerful life-size images could dance with you, and videophone linkups would look like the caller was in the same room.

Video games would take on a whole new dimension with endless possibilities. School could be at home while the teacher could be at school. IP cameras would give the feeling of being there. None of this is science fiction. This is all part of Panasonic’s Life Wall TV.

liquid metal-based LM10 CPU cooler

LM10 CPU cooler
Danamics got a lot of attention a while back when stories started to go around that it had a new kind of CPU cooling in development. It was said that Danamics had been able to harvest the power of liquid metal. Not much information could be found on the website, until now. Danamics has updated it with what it calls the worlds first commercially available liquid metal based CPU cooler - Danamics LM10. Danamics mentions two key characteristics when describing the pump: the unique electromagnetic pump with its patent pending multi-string design and the liquid metal with its superior thermo physical characteristics.
Danamics LM10 is the world's best performing air-cooler. By utilizing the unique properties of liquid metal, the cooler has the lowest thermal resistance of any air-cooler in the market. The cooling capabilities exceeds most watercoolers in a single device
